Gradual heating
Cartridges can be made with (compensated) watt distribution, the necessary quantity of the heater wire can be inserted for temperature regulation.
The distribution of watts is advisable for relatively long cartridge heaters requiring a stable temperature along its whole length.

Heating point by point
Cartridges can be made with inactive areas, where no temperature is required at one point, or several, or to the entry of the connexions, so as not to damage them.

Cartridges can be made with double voltage and different watts within the same cartridge.
